Established in 1819 in Paris by Madame Millot, the perfumery underwent several name changes before becoming F. Millot Parfum in 1839 under Félix Adolph Millot's ownership. The brand thrived under Frédéric Félix Millot, known for iconic fragrances such as "Violette-Laetitia" and "L'Eau de Cologne Primale Iridia". Over the years, the House of F. Millot became renowned as the official supplier of the royal family in Egypt and expanded globally.
In 1897, Henri Millot Desprez and Félix Dubois took the reins and rebranded the company as "Parfums F. Millot et Les Petits Fils de F. Millot". Collaborating with renowned designer Hector Guimard, they introduced new fragrance lines showcased at the 1900 World's Fair. However, it wasn't until 1922 when Henri Millot Desprez's creation, "Crêpe de Chine," became a resounding success, solidifying the brand's reputation in the industry.
Under various name changes like Parfums Dubois-Millot, the brand continued to evolve, with notable perfumers like Duhayon leaving their mark. In 1963, the company was acquired by Parfums Revillon before ultimately closing its doors in 1970. The legacy of F. Millot Parfum lives on through its iconic fragrances and contributions to the world of perfumery.
