Jimmy Choo

Jimmy Choo's love for luxury footwear originated from his childhood, as his father owned a shoe store with a workshop in Malaysia. Developing his shoe designs while still in school, Choo later pursued fashion studies in London. In 1984, he established his first shoe store and transformed his creations into a renowned brand. Initially running his shoe empire solely, Jimmy Choo was later joined by his niece Sandra Choi and Vogue reporter Tamara Mellon, leading to the expansion of the label and its evolution into "Jimmy Choo Ltd" before being acquired by "JAB Holding" in 2011 and later by "Michael Kors" in 2017. Specializing in crafting premium, exclusive, and innovative women's footwear, Jimmy Choo's shoes are available in standard sizes as well as bespoke options, attracting celebrity clients like Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz, Kylie Minogue, and Emily Blunt. Celebrating its eleventh anniversary in 2007, "Jimmy Choo" boasted over 60 shoe and fashion boutiques worldwide, with a strong presence in Germany with more than 20 stores in cities such as Frankfurt, Ingolstadt, Düsseldorf, and Munich. Recognized for his contributions to the fashion industry, Jimmy Choo was appointed an "Officer of the Order of the British Empire" (OBE) by Queen Elizabeth II in 2003.
