Kenzo
Premium Fragrance House
Kenzo, the renowned Japanese fashion brand, was founded by the innovative designer Kenzō Takada in 1970. Known for his bold colors, unique fabrics, and urban patterns, Kenzo quickly gained worldwide recognition for its prêt-à-porter fashion collections. Takada's shows, held in memorable locations like circuses and "Studio 54", became industry highlights. In 1988, Kenzo introduced its first women's fragrances, followed by men's fragrances in 1991. Reflecting Takada's Japanese heritage, the scents featured floral-fruity notes inspired by the Far East. After building a strong presence in the market, Takada sold Kenzo to "LVMH" in 1993 for approximately 70 million euros. Throughout his career, Takada received numerous awards for his cultural contributions and humanitarian efforts. His legacy lives on through Kenzo's collections and fragrances, which can be found in high-end retail stores like Galeria and Douglas, as well as in KENZO boutiques and online. Tragically, Takada passed away in 2020 due to complications related to COVID-19, leaving behind a lasting impact on the world of fashion and fragrance.
