O Boticário
Premium Fragrance House
Established in 1977 by Miguel Krigsner in Curitiba, Brazil, "O Boticário" started as a small pharmacy and has grown to become a leading player in the cosmetics and perfumery industry. The brand's initial products, a moisturizing lotion and algae-based shampoo, paved the way for its success. Over the years, "O Boticário" expanded its product range to include body and hair care products, cosmetics, perfumes, sunscreens, and soaps, utilizing exotic Amazonian ingredients like açaí, cupuaçu, and guaraná. With over 4,200 stores across various countries, "O Boticário" is renowned for its innovative approach to perfumery. Notably, they introduced "Malbec," a fragrance aged using a process similar to winemaking, and crafted "Lily" using the rare enfleurage technique for floral oils extraction. In a groundbreaking move in 2019, they launched "Egeo ON You" and "Egeo ON Me," the world's first perfumes developed using artificial intelligence through a collaboration with Symrise and IBM Research's "Philyra." Moreover, "O Boticário" made waves in 2022 by partnering with Netflix to create a line of cosmetics inspired by popular series. The brand's commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability has solidified its position as a global leader in the perfumery and cosmetics industry.
