Lili Bermuda

When W.B. Smith and his daughter Madeline Scott purchased an old country estate on the picturesque Bermuda island of Saint George's back in 1933, little did they know they were sowing the seeds of a small, yet prestigious fragrance brand. Their ambitious goal of creating premium perfumes using local lilies seemed impractical at first. They transformed the estate into a fragrant haven with gardens blooming with over 500,000 flowers, kickstarting production of their debut fragrance, "Cedar," in 1932. Since then, "Lili Bermuda" has blossomed under the creative direction of perfumer Isabelle Ramsay-Brackstone, unveiling a range of exquisite scents. The brand intentionally maintains an aura of exclusivity by unveiling new fragrances sporadically due to the limited availability of raw materials from their gardens. The brand's commitment to excellence extends to the meticulous craftsmanship of its bottles, which are crafted and cut in France's esteemed Verreries Brosse glassworks and are lovingly filled by hand. Each bottle is adorned with a unique woven ribbon, reflecting the essence of the fragrance it holds. Despite its relatively small size, "Lili Bermuda" is recognized by industry experts and critics as a formidable contender against larger fragrance houses. However, acquiring these coveted scents is a unique experience, as they are solely available on the brand's website and at the historic country estate in Saint George's, Bermuda.
