Adolfo Dominguez

Adolfo Domínguez is a renowned Spanish fashion designer who was born in 1950 and initially pursued a career in cinematography in London and Paris. However, he eventually took over his father's successful fashion business in the early 1970s, establishing his atelier. Initially focusing on men's suits, Domínguez gained attention in 1973 with his provocative "La arruga es bella" (The beauty of the wrinkle), laying the foundation for the iconic "Adolfo Domínguez" brand. Since 1982, the brand has expanded with more store openings and a wider range of women's and children's collections, culminating in a breakthrough at the Paris Fashion Fair in 1985. Catering primarily to the upper-middle class, the collection now includes fashion for women, men, and children, as well as cosmetics, bags, watches, eyewear, home textiles, perfume, and various accessories, targeting individuals aged 30 to 50. In 1997, "Adolfo Domínguez" went public and ventured into the Asian, Japanese, and American markets, growing to more than 240 stores in Italy and over 70 worldwide. The brand distributes its products, including licensed items, through its stores, high-end boutiques, and online platforms, appealing to a diverse global audience.
