Bois 1920
Premium Fragrance House
The history of this small family business in Florence took a generational leap to achieve renewed success. Perfumer Guido Galardi, in 1920, experimented with Tuscan lavender and created his own formulas. He founded the Bottega Italiana Spigo (Bo.I.S. = Bois), which quickly gained popularity among scent aficionados in Florence and beyond. Unfortunately, his son did not continue the legacy, leading to the closure of the business in 1925. Fortunately, the grandson, Enzo, inherited his grandfather's talent and passion for perfumery. In 2005, after gaining experience and confidence, he revived the business under the name "Bois 1920", bringing back his grandfather's original recipes and concepts in fragrance form. A collection of eight perfumes, inspired by traditional compositions, was introduced. Whether Guido Guaraldi's creations were truly ahead of their time almost a century ago, or if Enzo's reinterpretations are fresh takes on those original fragrances, one thing is clear: Bois 1920 scents are luxurious, well-crafted blends made from premium ingredients. The exquisite bottles and packaging, designed with elegance in mind, reflect the brand's exclusive style.
