Born in Antwerp in 1958, Dries Van Noten comes from a background in fashion. With a grandfather who was a tailor and a father who founded an innovative retail store, the designer's path was set. After studying fashion design at Antwerp’s Royal Academy, Dries Van Noten worked as a freelance consultant before starting his own collections. In 1986, he co-founded the "Antwerp Six" and launched his first men's collection, followed by a women's line in 1987. Dries Van Noten has been showcasing seasonal collections for women and men since the beginning, as well as a children's line introduced in 1996. The brand's high-end clientele values the luxurious fabrics and intricate patterns used in the collections. With boutiques around the world, Dries Van Noten has expanded its reach globally.
