Initially founded in 1927 by Aldo Furlanetto, the renowned fashion brand "Furla" started as a leather workshop. Originally focusing on chic accessories for women, the brand eventually expanded its reach beyond department stores and wholesalers. By 1955, "Furla" had opened its first boutique in Bologna, marking the beginning of its journey across Europe. In the early 1970s, Aldo's children Carlo, Paolo, and Giovanna joined the family business, leading to the launch of the inaugural line of bags under the iconic "Furla" name. Rapidly expanding into Europe, the US, and Asia, the brand solidified its presence internationally. Celebrating its 80th anniversary, "Furla" made a splash in the online sphere, establishing a wide-reaching network of retailers and partners. In 2008, Giovanna Furlanetto founded a foundation promoting innovative fashion design, while 2011 saw the brand enhance its distribution network and focus on cutting-edge manufacturing processes. A significant milestone was reached in 2015 with the opening of the flagship "Palazzo Furla" in Milan, alongside stores in Venice and Macau. Today, "Furla" offers its exquisite leather goods in over 240 boutiques globally, including the prestigious "Palazzos" and online platforms.
