He established the perfume house in 1930 and quickly found success with iconic fragrances like "111", "Indian Summer", and "Chypre".<br /> <br /> After five years, Prince Murat sold the brand to Paul Vacher, a renowned perfumer of that era. Initially, Vacher collaborated with other brands, creating memorable scents such as "Rumeur" and "Scandal". Eventually, in 1936, he delved into creating his own line, producing the timeless classic "Sortilège". Despite interruption by World War II, "Le Galion" continued to launch new fragrances post-1947, many of which have become signature scents.<br /> <br /> Alongside enduring classics like "Special for Gentlemen" (1947), "Snob" (1952), and "Whip" (1953), Vacher's high esteem led to collaborations with other prestigious labels, including the creation of iconic scents like "Miss Dior" in 1946 and "Diorling" in 1963.<br /> <br /> Under Paul Vacher's guidance, "Le Galion" rapidly ascended to global fame within three decades. While facing financial challenges in 1980 after being acquired by a U.S. consortium, the brand has made a triumphant comeback, reintroducing its exquisite, sensual, and opulent fragrances that are cherished and admired worldwide.
