Margaret Astor

Margaret Astor, an esteemed German fragrance brand, was established in Mainz in 1952 as a division of Blendax-Werke. Founded by Wilhelm Boelcke, the name of the brand was inspired by his mother-in-law's maiden name, who hailed from the renowned Astor family. During the era of economic prosperity, the brand rapidly grew to become a frontrunner in the German market and eventually expanded its presence across Europe. In 1965, Margaret Astor KG was acquired by the English Beecham Group, propelling it towards global recognition in over 60 countries worldwide. Since 1990, Margaret Astor has been under the ownership of the esteemed perfume and cosmetics conglomerate Coty. In addition to their iconic lipstick, face powders, makeup, and nail polish, Margaret Astor also introduced various fragrances over the years, although they are no longer in production today. Interestingly, the brand also created exclusive fragrances specifically tailored for the Spanish-speaking market, some of which remain undiscovered in Germany.
