Premium Fragrance House
Renowned British fashion designer Paul Brierley Smith may not be a household name for everyone, but his distinctive creations are celebrated worldwide. Born in 1946 in Nottingham, UK, Smith initially aspired to a career in professional cycling but turned to the world of fashion after a serious accident. Through experience gained in textiles and fashion, he opened his first boutique at just 24 years old, starting with curated designs from other creators. Encouraged by his fashion industry girlfriend, Smith launched his own menswear collection in 1976, founding the iconic "Paul Smith" brand. With a rapid rise to prominence in the menswear arena, the label expanded into womenswear in 1993, leading to a global presence. Today, the "Paul Smith" brand encompasses fragrances, watches, furniture, and accessories in addition to its renowned menswear and womenswear lines. Among Smith's most notable creations are the "Stripes" and "Bespoke Stripe" collections, introduced in 2003 and featuring a vibrant pattern of 14 colored stripes that became iconic in the brand's repertoire. Honored for his contributions to fashion, Smith has been recognized with prestigious accolades such as induction into the "Royal Designers of Industry" (RDI) and the title of "Commander of the Order of the British Empire" (CBE), highlighting his significant impact on the industry.
