Following their departure from Sant'Elena Sannita, a village devoid of opportunity after World War II, Celestino and Luisa Durante discovered a new calling in Rome. Specializing in soap, cosmetics, and perfumery, they paved the way for themselves and fellow emigrants. Their children, Guiseppe, Luciano, Maria, and Felice, continued this legacy but grew disillusioned with the industry's limitations in the 1990s. This discontent sparked the birth of Profumum Roma in 1996. Embracing autonomy, the siblings crafted exquisite fragrances using only the finest ingredients, eschewing mass-market demands and synthetic formulas. Their offbeat creations resonated with discerning consumers, solidifying Profumum Roma as a hallmark of luxury perfumery.
