Salvador Dali
Premium Fragrance House
Salvador Dali, a renowned Spanish artist known for his surrealistic works, was also passionate about fragrances and flowers from a young age. He crafted his own scented pomades and creams and later had a notable influence on the fashion and perfume industry while residing in Paris with his wife Gala. Notably, he was friends with icons like Coco Chanel and Elsa Schiaparelli, who drew inspiration from his unique style for their designs and perfumes. In 1976, at a later stage in his life, Dali, together with the COFCI company under Jean-Pierre Grivory's direction, launched his first fragrances. The worldwide license for Salvador Dali's perfumes was granted in 1982, with Dali actively contributing ideas for their creation. The first fragrance, "Salvador Dali," debuted in 1983 as an animalic and spicy chypre scent, which received recognition with the Export Oscar. Despite his passing in 1989, Salvador Dali's legacy lives on through the brand's continuation. His influence is evident in the fragrances he co-designed, ensuring they encapsulate his eccentric persona and dream of immortality. Today, COFCI continues to produce and distribute fragrances under the Salvador Dali name, maintaining his artistic vision and impact in the world of perfumery.
