Since her early years, art historian Olivia Bransbourg has held a deep fascination for scents. At the age of 8, her grandmother presented her with 50 miniature fragrances, sparking her journey to fully understand and appreciate them. As the editor of the renowned art and fashion magazine Iconofly, Olivia Bransbourg ventured into the world of perfumery by launching Attache-Moi in 2009. In 2016, she introduced a new fragrance brand, SLM - Sous le Manteau. The name translates to "under the cloak" or "secretly", inspired by Olivia's accidental discovery of a 19th-century pharmaceutical book at a flea market. This rare find contained secret love potion recipes along with medicinal formulas, harking back to a time when aphrodisiac plants were cultivated in monastery gardens for such purposes. Enthralled by the ancient recipes, Olivia sought to modernize and revive them through collaboration with skilled perfumer Nathalie Feisthauer. Known for her work with prestigious brands like Hermès, Cartier, and Van Cleef & Arpels, Nathalie Feisthauer has crafted over 80 unique fragrances. Sous le Manteau's collection currently features five unisex scents formulated with aphrodisiac ingredients, all meticulously crafted in Grasse, France. These perfumes aim to capture the essence of love using contemporary olfactory expressions. A personalized quiz on the brand's website assists customers in discovering their ideal scent profile. The upcoming release of the sixth fragrance, Odisiaque n° 6, is anticipated to further enrich the series in September 2021. In recognition of its innovative approach, Sous le Manteau was honored with the Best Newcomer Award by the Fragrance Foundation UK in 2020.
