Vera

Abelardo Vera Martinez founded the perfume brand Vera in 1922, which later became internationally recognized when it was registered in the International Registry in 1948. The company not only produced perfumes but also offered a range of care products and cosmetics. Vera products were primarily available in select countries such as Belgium, the Netherlands, and Denmark, with the exception of Spain. Latin America was a key market for Vera, where the brand had its own production facilities in Chile and Santo Domingo. In 1962, the brand also started exporting smaller quantities of perfumes and cosmetics to the USA. Catering to the middle and lower price ranges, Vera had a renowned perfumer named José Prat. Some of the popular perfumes from Vera included "Isabel Maria", "Acapulco", "Colonia Vera", "Ventolera", "Rosaleda", "Soir de Printemps", "Mandalay", "Siglo de Oro", "Fantasia Griega", and "Rose Violette". The company had a significant presence in Alella, near Barcelona, where its facilities covered over 1,800 m². Unfortunately, Vera ceased its operations entirely at the end of the 20th century, leaving behind a legacy of exceptional fragrances and beauty products.
