Peat in Perfume

Peat is a unique perfume note that brings a smoky, earthy, and slightly medicinal quality to a fragrance. Inspired by the scent of damp, decomposing organic matter found in peat bogs, it adds depth and complexity to a perfume composition.

Peat appears in 40 perfumes on Aromifo. It is used as a base note in 75% of them, a heart note in 19% and a top note in 6%. It is most often paired with Bergamot, Leather and Musk, and 73% of the perfumes that use it are unisex.
