Soil in Perfume

Soil note in perfumery evokes the earthy, damp scent of fresh soil after a rain shower. It adds a grounding, natural element to fragrances, creating a sense of depth and connection to the earth.

Soil appears in 989 perfumes on Aromifo. It is used as a base note in 63% of them, a heart note in 26% and a top note in 12% (see how top, heart and base notes work). It is most often paired with Moss, Patchouli and Musk, and 80% of the perfumes that use it are unisex.
